UNIVERSITY TEAMS UP WITH LOCAL STUDENTS

 

Local students from Goroke P-12 College are getting a head start on planning for their future following a series of workshops from the University of Ballarat’s Regional Schools Outreach Program. This is the fifth year the University has worked with the College, developing a strong partnership. Students and their families from Year Eight through to Year Eleven have taken part in a number of fun, practical activities with UB staff and students at the College.

These activities are designed to break down barriers to further education and training, encouraging students to stay in school, and inspiring them to consider a wide range of exciting careers. In particular, Year Eight students and their families enjoyed a presentation dinner following their ‘Awesome Futures’ workshop. At the dinner, the students received Certificates of Achievement, heard from current university students about their experiences, and discussed the program with UB staff.

Year Nine families also took part in a parent session. Savarna, in Year Eight at Goroke P-12 College, said the day was a lot of fun, and offered an insight into the opportunities available. “They told us how they were working towards their dream jobs and the pathways they took. It was interesting to listen to their advice and their experiences. It helped us all to think about the possibilities for our futures,” she said. Later in the year, students will take part in a University Experience Camp at the University’s Mt Helen Campus. UB’s Regional Schools Outreach Program works across Western Victoria, encouraging students to consider further education, and helping them develop the skills and motivation to get there.

The park is a 5 minute walk to the main street. The park does not have any on site vans, but is very well positioned for travellers with a Caravan, Motorhome & or their own Tent looking for a stay in the West Wimmera region.

In 2001, two inventors from Cairns, Australia made history by showing the world one of the first mass-market free energy generator prototypes.

The Lutec 1000, so-called because it generates 1000W of electricity, is the brainchild of years of research by John Christie and Lou Brits.

How Does The Lutect 1000 Work?

Unlike regular generators than run on fuel, the Lutec 1000 and most other free energy generators do not need a continuous input of energy. Instead, they harness the ever-present force that comes from magnets and converts it into motion and then electricity.

Like many other magnetic motor generators, the Lutec 1000 requires an initial energy input to get the machine working. In this case, a battery needs to be connected to kick-start the machine. Thereafter it can be left disconnected.

Is It Perpetual Motion?

To all intents and purposes it is. But the inventors are up front in saying that the battery will not last forever and needs to be replaced every five years. Also, the magnets themselves have a lifetime of around one thousand years.

Ignoring this minimal maintenance, this magnetic generator is to all intents and purposes a perpetual motion machine but designed specifically to produce energy in order to power a home (it can be easily transported from one home to another with transport).

Where Can I Get One?

The Lutec 1000 is not yet on general sale to the public but in the years since it was revealed to the world there have been huge advances in magnetic motor generator technology. It is expected that we will see many affordable and similar consumer devices coming onto the market within the next ten years.

Present Day Alternatives

The technology is not beyond the average person anymore. Today, with the help of a good set of plans, some easy to obtain materials and a few tools, anyone can construct their own free energy generator in the comfort of their own home. It seems that John Christie and Lou Brits may have missed the commercial opportunity of a lifetime.

One of the great advantages of this generator is that you can not only generate enough electricity for your own needs but you can also sell any excess that you don\’t use back to the grid and get paid for it!
